Bandara enjoyed technology from a young age. He grew up tinkering, learning, and reading about technology. He also recognized at a young age that his passion for technology was something he could turn into a career.

Taking A New Approach to Learning

Bandara worked on the belief that you could push your brain to consume information faster. He listened to content at a faster speed to force his mind to comprehend the information more quickly. He also believes the mind absorbs information even if you are not consciously listening.

Going Beyond the Basics

When he decided he needed to learn how to code to build websites, he didn't just teach himself HTML. While he knew it was necessary, he didn't want his abilities to be limited due to limited knowledge. With that in mind, he also taught himself CSS, PHP, Ruby, and Javascript.

Demonstrating A Clear Drive Towards Your Goals

Anyone can say they have goals, but not everyone is willing to demonstrate a clear drive towards their goals. Bandara was always working towards learning and starting his own company. He actively made the most out of every hour of the day, making sure not to waste time.

Teaching Others

Research has shown that teaching others is one of the best ways to firmly learn or understand something. Bandara embraced this conclusion and worked to teach others coding as he continued to learn.
