Human users have also been facilitated by the introduction of domain names. Domain names are the alphabetical manifestation of the numerical IP address by a DNS (Domain Name Server).

Transfer of Information

The information is transformed into minute packets and is transmitted from one computer to another. This function is performed by a machine called stack.
The Internet also offers facilities such as e-mail, web browsers, news readers, and chat facilities.
There is no other feeling that gives immense satisfaction than a prolonged and lively chat with a close friend or a beloved. For the fulfillment of this requirement, the Internet also offers amenities such as IRC programs.
All these software use numerous methods to encode and decipher the information passed between computers.

Servers

Servers are machines that perform a specified role on the Internet and their presence is very essential for its successful operation. They provide access to the infinite files called websites available in the Internet. The servers send requests to the various webpages that make up a website.
The website to which the request is sent sends the concerned webpage from its numerous webpages. Mail servers are servers designed to decipher and modulate the packages utilized by the e-mail. It is the source from where a person's mail can be downloaded.
